Free Solar Site Survey in Ahmedabad
Before any quotation is worth trusting, someone has to stand on your roof. Our survey measures usable area, maps shadows across the day, checks your meter and sanctioned load, and ends with a written fixed price.
Who this is for
- Anyone comparing quotes and unsure which numbers are real
- Homeowners who have been quoted a price without a site visit
- Owners with shading from tanks, mumties or neighbouring towers
- Societies assessing whether a common-area system is feasible
- Commercial sites needing structural and load feasibility first
What the service includes
- Usable shadow-free roof area measurement
- Shadow path mapping across the day and across seasons
- Roof type and structural condition assessment
- Meter, phase and sanctioned-load verification
- Cable route and inverter location planning
- 12-month consumption review from your bills
- Written, itemised fixed quotation after the visit
Why a phone quote is not a quotation
It is entirely possible to give a price over the phone. It is not possible to give a *correct* one. Two homes with identical bills and identical roof sizes can need different designs because one has an afternoon shadow from a neighbour's tower, a single-phase meter, and a water tank sitting in the middle of the best south-facing area. The survey exists to find those things before you pay a deposit, not after.
Ours is free, carries no site-visit charge, and comes with no obligation. If we conclude your roof is not suited to solar, or that a smaller system than you asked for is the right call, that is what the report will say.
What we measure and why it matters
| What we check | Why it changes your design |
|---|---|
| Usable shadow-free area | Sets the maximum capacity; parapet and walkway clearances reduce it |
| Shadow path through the day | A single afternoon shadow can disproportionately cut a whole string's output |
| Roof type and slab condition | Determines the mounting method and whether waterproofing needs attention |
| Orientation and tilt options | South-facing is ideal, but east-west splits often use awkward roofs better |
| Meter type and phase | Single vs three phase affects inverter selection and export metering |
| Sanctioned load headroom | Approved solar capacity is bounded by it; enhancement may be needed first |
| Cable route and inverter location | Affects losses, cost and long-term serviceability |
| 12 months of bills | Sizes the system to real consumption instead of to roof area |
How the visit runs
- Before the visit - send your last electricity bill so we arrive with an indicative size already modelled.
- On the roof, 30–45 minutes - measurement, shadow assessment, structure and access check, photographs.
- At the meter - connection type, phase, sanctioned load and space for the inverter and ACDB.
- Discussion - realistic generation, what your bill should look like afterwards, and the trade-offs of going a size up or down.
- After the visit - a written itemised quotation with the exact system, brands, subsidy treatment and timeline.
What you should ask us while we are there
- Which module make, model and wattage - and is it DCR-compliant for the subsidy?
- What inverter, with what warranty period, and where will it be mounted?
- What is the expected annual generation, and on what assumptions?
- What exactly is excluded from the quoted price?
- Who files the net metering and subsidy applications, and is it charged extra?
- What happens if the DISCOM approves a smaller capacity than quoted?
Those questions, and the answers that should worry you, are covered in how to choose an installer and avoid scams. Our own answers are documented in advance on pricing and the quotation explained.
