Solar Panel Maintenance & AMC in Ahmedabad
Cleaning schedules, electrical inspections and generation audits that keep a rooftop system producing what it was designed to produce - available for systems installed by anyone.
Who this is for
- Homeowners whose generation has quietly dropped
- Owners of systems installed by a vendor who has disappeared
- Housing societies with common-area rooftop systems
- Commercial and industrial sites needing reported O&M
- Anyone who has never had their system electrically inspected
What the service includes
- Scheduled panel cleaning with low-mineral water and soft tools
- Inverter inspection, firmware and error-log review
- String voltage and current testing against expected values
- Earthing continuity and lightning-arrestor check
- Junction box, connector and cable-tie inspection
- Structure bolt torque and corrosion check
- Generation audit against modelled output
- Priority fault attendance during contract period
Solar is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance
A rooftop system has no moving parts, so it rarely fails dramatically. It degrades quietly instead - a soiled module array losing a slice of output, a loose MC4 connector heating up, one string tripping off and nobody noticing because the bill is still lower than it used to be. The purpose of maintenance is to catch the quiet losses, and the tool for that is measurement rather than a visual glance.
In Ahmedabad the dominant recoverable loss is soiling. Dust from construction and ring-road traffic settles fast in the dry months, and the first monsoon showers leave a muddy film rather than washing panels clean. Practical cleaning frequency and technique are covered in the maintenance guide, and monsoon-season expectations in monsoon performance.

Diagnosing a system that has stopped saving money
When an owner tells us the bill has crept back up, the cause is almost always one of a short list, and we work through it in order:
- Soiling - measured by comparing output before and after a clean, not by looking at the glass.
- A string offline - a tripped DC breaker or blown fuse can remove a third of the array while the inverter still shows a green light.
- New shading - a neighbour's extension, a water tank added, or a tree that grew. Very common at the three-year mark.
- Inverter derating or faults - visible in the error log and often heat-related where ventilation is poor.
- Connector or junction degradation - thermal inspection finds hot joints before they fail.
- Meter or billing issues - occasionally the system is fine and the net meter or the reading is not.
- Genuine consumption increase - a new AC or EV charger raises the bill without the system underperforming at all.
Maintenance and your warranty
Module and inverter warranties are manufacturer obligations, and claiming them needs documentation - installation records, serial numbers, test values and evidence of the fault. Owners who never had a baseline record often struggle years later. Our AMC keeps a maintained record per site so a claim is a paperwork exercise rather than an argument. What each warranty actually covers is explained on warranty and service and in solar panel warranty explained.
Safety notes for owners who clean their own panels
- Clean early morning or late evening - cold water on hot glass risks thermal stress.
- Never step on modules, and never use metal scrapers or hard brushes.
- Use low-mineral water where possible; hard borewell water leaves a scale film that is worse than dust.
- Do not open DC junction boxes or handle connectors - that is licensed electrical work under load.
- If a module shows a burn mark, browning or a cracked cell, stop and call us; that is a warranty matter.
